5 takeaways from Cowboys' 40-0 Sunday Night Football

Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard scored on a one-yard rush. Jogged. At MetLife Stadium, the third-quarter score reached 33-0.

Dallas took advantage of New York's offensive inaction to score easy points and widen the deficit.

New York started with the ball and moved 48 yards in 11 plays (including a third-down turnover that lost yards) in seven minutes.

Giants were synchronized and confident before the mistake. Noah Igbinoghene blocked Graham Gano's field goal and returned it 58 yards for a touchdown.

This offseason, Jones inked a four-year, $160 million Giants contract. This amounts to $40 million annually. He completed 15-of-28 passes for 104 yards with no touchdowns

The weather and offensive line play weren't ideal for Jones, but these indicators were visible in past seasons unless he improved as a pocket passer. I didn't see that in Week 1.

First time since 2016, Dallas started without Elliott at running back. We had to move on, and Tony Pollard, Rico Dowdle, and KaVontae Turpin did it their way.
